John Day Fossil Beds - Painted Hills

Service Description

Two days of fantastic high desert riding with some spectacular vistas. This is a lodging based tour operated out of Mitchell Oregon. Lodging will be at Painted Hills Vacation Cottages. This is a great two-day getaway. Travel to and from Bend, Oregon is provided. On Day 01 we leave Bend at 8:00 am and Travel out to Mitchell, where we will start riding by 10:30 am. This is the perfect adventure if you love climbing big hills and enjoy awe inspiring descents. A lovely lunch stop is included. When we finish up Day 1, we head back into Mitchell with time to shower and have a nice meal at Tiger Town Brewing. Following dinner, the opportunity to take a drive out to Painted Hills and watch them light up at Sunset is a real treat. Day 2 starts out with a high-powered breakfast to fuel you for your day. Some great riding with less hill climbing awaits as we make our way around to Kimberly and Spray and end up at Thomas Condon Paleontology Center, they have a great movie that highlights the geological history of the area. Very nice exhibits and some fantastic staff to answer your history or geology questions. After we finish up our educational moments at the center we load back up and return to Bend Oregon. Arrival back in Bend is anticipated to be between 7-8 pm.

Cancellation Policy

A deposit of $500 is required at time of booking to secure space. $250 of the deposit is a nonrefundable fee. Full payment is required 90 days before departure date. If you decide to cancel your trip, written notice is required. The following fees apply: 91+ days prior to departure = $250 61 to 90 days = $500 31 to 60 days prior to departure = 50% of the total trip cost is non-refundable 0 to 30 days prior to departure = 100% of the trip cost is non-refundable Summit Cycling Adventures LLC reserves the right to cancel all or a portion of a trip for force majeure or any other circumstances beyond our control, and, in the event of such cancellation, full or partial refunds, if any, will be at Summit Cycling Adventures LLC sole discretion. We also reserve the right to cancel any trip if sign-up is inadequate to make the trip economically feasible for us to operate, and in this event, we will give a full refund of the trip price. However, Summit Cycling Adventures LLC is not responsible for additional expenses incurred by you in preparing for the trip (e.g., nonrefundable air tickets, visa fees if applicable, gear or medical expenses).
